Relaxed care, every step of the way

Dental anxiety shouldn’t keep you from getting the care you need. At Omni Endodontics, we offer sedation dentistry to make root canals and other endodontic procedures more comfortable, both physically and emotionally. Whether you’re nervous about treatment, have a sensitive gag reflex, or need a longer procedure, our options help you feel calm and in control.

Our experienced Arlington sedation dentists are trained in nitrous oxide, oral sedation, and IV sedation, and will walk you through your options with care. We’ll always explain what to expect, how you’ll feel, and how we tailor your visit to match your needs.

Sedation Dentistry FAQs

How do I know if sedation is right for me?

Sedation may be helpful if you’re anxious about dental care, have trouble getting numb, or are scheduled for a complex or lengthy procedure. We’ll talk through your health history and preferences to help you decide.

Will I be asleep during treatment?

It depends on the type of sedation. Nitrous keeps you relaxed but awake, while oral and IV sedation may make you drowsy or lightly asleep. We’ll help you choose the level of comfort that’s right for you.

Is sedation safe?

Yes. When provided by our trained Arlington sedation dentists, sedation dentistry is extremely safe. We monitor you throughout the procedure and follow strict safety protocols to keep you comfortable and protected.

Can I drive myself home after sedation?

You can drive after nitrous oxide, but not after oral or IV sedation. If you choose those options, you’ll need someone to drive you home and stay with you for a short time.

Does insurance cover sedation dentistry?

Nitrous is sometimes covered, while oral and IV sedation are usually considered elective. We’ll help you check your benefits and walk you through pricing so you can make an informed decision.

Our Sedation Options

Nitrous Oxide

A light, fast-acting gas you breathe through a mask. You’ll stay awake but feel calm and less aware of discomfort, and it wears off quickly after treatment.

Oral Conscious Sedation

A prescription medication taken before your visit to help ease anxiety. You’ll feel deeply relaxed and may not remember the procedure.

IV Sedation

Medication delivered directly into your bloodstream. You’ll be in a sleep-like state, deeply relaxed, and carefully monitored throughout the procedure.

What to expect during treatment

  • A one-on-one consultation to discuss your goals, medical history, and comfort level
  • A recommendation for the sedation option that best fits your needs
  • Clear instructions before and after treatment, including whether you’ll need a driver
  • Monitoring and care by trained professionals every step of the way

Hear from our patients

“I was sent to Dr. Nicholas Leon-Guerrero for a root canal and I’m so glad I listened to my dentist. I was worried it was going to hurt, but he explained everything before starting and made sure I was numb and comfortable. It was done quicker than I expected and by that night I was already feeling back to normal. I wish all dental visits were this smooth.”

“I saw Dr. Yeh for a root canal and she was so gentle I didn’t feel a thing. I had been losing sleep over this for days, but it went so much better than I imagined. By dinner time I was eating like normal again. She really knows how to take care of her patients.”
“I used nitrous for my appointment at Omni Endodontics and it made a huge difference for me. I was relaxed and comfortable the whole time and didn’t feel stressed like I usually do at the dentist. The staff kept checking on me and it honestly made what I thought would be a scary procedure no big deal at all.”
“Dr. Deborah Yeh did my root canal and I can’t believe how easy she made it. I’ve had dental work before that left me sore for days, but this time I didn’t even need pain medicine afterward. She worked with so much care and still got it done in one visit. I walked in nervous and walked out relieved.”
